Southern Cyclone Rugby Club was established in 2016 in the village of Bel Ombre, located in the southern region of Mauritius. The club was created to provide rugby opportunities for girls and boys from 9 years old through to senior level, serving the southern region and surrounding areas. Players come from Le Morne, Souillac, Surinam, and nearby communities.

Training sessions are held at the Bel Ombre Football Field, where the club currently develops around 50 players. Since its opening, the club has been led by its President, Jason, who continues to guide its growth and positive impact within the community.
